Trump Tells Nation: “Iran War Will End Soon”

Date:

President Donald Trump has sought to reassure the American public that the military campaign in Iran is nearing its conclusion. Trump stated on Tuesday that the war is “going to be ended soon” and that the U.S. has achieved its primary goals. He described the intervention as a “short-term excursion” that was essential for getting rid of “some evil” in the world.
The President’s assessment comes despite the emergence of Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader in Tehran. Trump has criticized the choice, calling it a “big mistake” and dismissing the new leader as a “lightweight.” He argued that the U.S. and Israel have already neutralized the infrastructure that would support the regime’s long-term survival.
Global energy markets have seen wild swings, with oil prices spiking to $119 before retreating on news of Trump’s optimism. The President issued a blunt warning to Tehran, stating that any disruption of oil flow would lead to a retaliation “twenty times harder.” He has also suggested that the U.S. is “thinking about taking over” the Strait of Hormuz.
Domestically, the “little excursion” into Iran has caused a temporary spike in gas prices, but Trump remains confident about an economic surge. He noted that the military has done an “amazing” job in neutralizing 80% of Iran’s missile launchers in just ten days. The President’s narrative focuses on a decisive victory that protects American interests.
As the conflict continues, the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon and Iran has drawn international concern. Trump’s focus remains on the “ultimate victory” that will end the “long-running danger” of the regime once and for all. The world awaits a formal conclusion to a war that has redefined regional security.
